Alumni Association Online Community
The goal of this site is to keep our alumni connected with each other, with faculty, with current students, and with the UW School of Medicine. This site is part of the larger mission of the UW Medicine Alumni Association, which is to:
- Support the UW School of Medicine in the fulfillment of its mission, serving as diplomats and advocates in the communities where medical alumni live and work.
- Provide support for students, residents, and fellows at the School of Medicine through programs, scholarships, fellowships, and other financial contributions.
- Establish and maintain a sense of unity among alumni.

Family Day
Sunday, September 7, 2008
Family Day, hosted by the UW Medicine Alumni Association, is a fun and informative special event designed for first-year students and their families and guests. Attendees will learn more about UW Medicine, and they will also receive valuable advice on managing the rigors of medical school.
After presentations from current students and family members, new students will receive a stethoscope, a gift from the UW Medicine Alumni Association.
UW Medicine on UWTV
UWTV, the University of Washington’s award-winning television channel, frequently features talks and presentations from UW Medicine faculty on up-to-the minute issues in research and health care. Available on cable and satellite services, some UWTV features are also available on the web.
The University of Washington School of Medicine ranks No. 1 in primary care.
In 2007, for the 14th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report's annual list of top graduate and professional schools ranked the UW School of Medicine as No. 1 in primary care. The UW also placed in the top 10 in family medicine, rural medicine, AIDS, internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, women's health, and drug/alcohol abuse training.
